Working Principle of Magnetic Drum Separator

The Permanent Magnetic Drum Separator works by using a fixed magnetic field generated by permanent magnets inside the rotating drum. When material enters the magnetic field area, magnetic particles are attracted and held onto the drum surface, while non-magnetic materials continue moving forward due to gravity and centrifugal force.

As the drum rotates, magnetic materials are transported to the discharge area and released separately from non-magnetic materials, achieving continuous automatic separation.

For conveyor applications, the Magnetic Head Pulley acts as the drive pulley at the end of the conveyor. When bulk materials pass over the pulley, magnetic minerals are attracted and remain attached to the belt surface, while non-magnetic materials follow their original trajectory and discharge separately.
