HUATAO Gold Sluice Box is a gravity-based gold recovery solution designed for separating gold and other high-density minerals from sand, gravel and alluvial deposits. The basic principle is simple: as gold-bearing material passes through the sluice under a controlled water flow, lighter sand and gravel are carried downstream while heavier gold particles settle into the recovery area. The effectiveness of the system depends on the combination of water velocity, sluice angle, feed rate, material size, riffle configuration and recovery matting.

For small-scale gold mining operations, the sluice can be combined with a hopper, classifier, spray bar or pump to create a High Banker Sluice Kit. A suitable hopper and feed distribution system helps provide a more consistent feed while the recovery section captures gold from the processed material.

For dredging applications, the sluice box can be designed as a Dredge-Mounted Sluice Box and connected with the dredge’s suction and water-flow system. The recovery section can be configured according to the expected feed size and gold particle distribution.
