Introduction of flotation machine
The flotation machine was born at the end of the 19th century. It is a foam beneficiation method and is mainly used for the separation of non-ferrous metals, ferrous metals and non-metals.
The working principle is that the motor drives the impeller to rotate, while inhaling the filling air and mixing the pulp, while stirring and mixing the pulp and medicine, the foam is refined, so that the minerals can be bonded on the foam and float to the surface of the pulp to form mineralized foam. Adjust the gate. Plate height, control the liquid level, scrape out useful foam, and finally realize the separation of minerals and gangue.

The role of flotation machine
To achieve the separation and enrichment of minerals and gangue, the flotation machine needs to have the following functions:
1. Inflatable effect. The flotation machine must have enough air due to work requirements to generate bubbles of a certain size, and make these bubbles evenly dispersed in the entire tank.
2. Stirring. The flotation machine must have a good stirring effect to suspend the minerals and promote the diffusion of the solvent, so that the ore particles meet and collide with the bubbles and complete the mineralization of the bubbles;
3. Circulation. The pulp should pass through the stirring device for many times, so that the bubbles and minerals can be fully contacted, so as to effectively improve the recovery rate of useful minerals.


Classification
Inflatable flotation machine:
This type of flotation machine relies on the rotation of the mechanical stirrer to stir the pulp and disperse the air, and the air is provided by the blower. The main advantages are that the air volume is large, the air volume can be adjusted as needed, the wear is small, and the power consumption is low. The disadvantage is that there is no suction and suction The pulp capacity and equipment configuration are not convenient enough, and the pulp circulation pump needs to be added.
Mechanical stirring flotation machine
This type of flotation machine relies on mechanical agitators (impeller and stator) to realize the aeration and agitation of the pulp. The advantage is that it can self-prime air and pulp, without the need for an additional aeration device, and it is easy to achieve self-flow when the middle ore returns, reducing the number of pulp lifting pumps , the equipment configuration is neat and beautiful, easy to operate

The characteristic of this type of flotation machine is that there is neither agitator nor transmission parts, and the air for inflation or self-priming air is provided by a specially set air compressor. The main advantage is that the structure is simple, it is easy to realize automatic control, and the number of selected operations is reduced.

②Flash flotation machine: a kind of air-filled mechanical stirring flotation machine, with special structure and impeller stator system

Basic performance requirements of flotation machine
1. The air volume is large and easy to adjust. The number of air bubbles in the pulp directly affects the processing capacity and operating efficiency of the flotation machine, so the flotation machine must have a large air volume; different minerals or different flotation processes, the required air volume and bubble size are different. All the same, so the flotation machine should be easy to adjust;
2. The stirring intensity should be sufficient. The stirring of the flotation machine keeps the mineral particles in the slurry suspended, the agent is fully diffused, and the air bubbles are evenly dispersed in the slurry, so the flotation machine must have sufficient stirring strength;
3. There should be a stable foam area. It can form a stable foam layer on the surface of the pulp and discharge it to complete the secondary enrichment;
4. Continuous operation. The flotation machine used in the industry must be able to achieve continuous operation. In actual production applications, from ore feeding to the discharge of floating concentrate and tailings, it is a continuous operation;
5. Modern flotation machine needs to realize automatic operation. It requires reliable work and long service life of components, and its control device must have remote control and program simulation capabilities.
