HUATAO Dual Seal Polyurethane Conveyor Skirting is engineered for conveyor transfer points where fine material leakage, airborne dust and belt-edge spillage are persistent operating problems.

The specially designed sealing profile combines material containment and flexible secondary sealing in one system. Installed along the conveyor loading zone, it helps keep bulk solids inside the belt while reducing pathways through which fine dust can escape.

This Double Sealing Skirting solution is particularly suitable for mining, coal handling, aggregate, cement and mineral processing conveyors operating in dusty or abrasive environments.

Why Use Dual Seal Conveyor Skirting?

Traditional flat Skirt Rubber relies primarily on contact between a single skirt edge and the conveyor belt. As the skirt wears or the belt moves vertically, small gaps may develop and allow fines to escape.

A Dual Seal Polyurethane Skirting profile provides two functional sealing zones.

The primary seal helps contain bulk material around the loading zone, while the flexible secondary seal provides an additional barrier against fines and dust.

This arrangement is especially valuable where controlling dust is as important as controlling larger material spillage.

Transfer Point Dust Control

When material falls through a chute onto a moving conveyor, impact can generate turbulent airflow and suspend fine particles.

Abrasion-Resistant Polyurethane

Polyurethane provides excellent resistance to abrasion and tearing while retaining sufficient elasticity for sealing applications.

Hardness, thickness and profile geometry can be adjusted according to belt speed, conveyed material and transfer point conditions.

Low Friction & Belt Protection

Over-tightened skirting can create unnecessary friction and contribute to belt wear.

HUATAO Low Friction PU Skirting is designed to achieve sealing through controlled contact rather than excessive pressure.

Belt-friendly polyurethane hardness options can be selected to provide the required balance between flexibility and wear resistance.

Correct belt support underneath the loading zone is also important because a stable belt surface allows the skirt to maintain more consistent sealing.

Skirting Clamping System

Dual seal profiles can be integrated with adjustable Skirting Clamping Systems.

The clamps allow maintenance personnel to reposition or replace worn skirting without rebuilding the entire transfer chute.
