A flotation rotor and stator is a matched pair of wear parts installed inside a flotation cell. The rotor is a rotating impeller attached to the drive shaft. It creates suction, draws air (or receives forced air), and disperses air into fine bubbles. The stator is a stationary ring of vanes surrounding the rotor. 5. Stator guidance: The stator vanes redirect the mixed slurry–bubble flow radially outward and upward, reducing turbulence that could detach particles.
6. Attachment and rise: Hydrophobic mineral particles attach to bubbles and rise to form a stable froth layer.
7. Froth collection: The froth overflows the cell launder and is pumped to downstream dewatering.
